Circular Letter November 2022

Good morning, everyone

This letter is to send you the information handed out at our last meeting by Michael Bonner Home energy manager at Manx Utilities. It was a highly informative presentation as confirmed by all who attended. Yesterday we achieved a milestone in cutting down our annual overheads. As you know we have been asking for members who are willing to receive these letters by email and at the same time acknowledging that many of you cannot as you do not have the means to do so. Forty members have agreed so far and yesterday we were able to email thirty-nine of them with the contents of this letter thereby cutting our stationery overhead by almost a half. So today this hard copy letter is only going out to forty-six members. If anyone receiving this letter has and is willing to use their email, please send it with your agreement to do so to me at assistance@macular.im

The significance of this saving so far achieved is that stationery accounts for two thirds of our total annual expenditure. One third goes on the legally required third party insurance we have to buy. So yesterday result has had a real impact on reducing next year’s expenditure.

In the meantime, the Trustees meet on Monday the 28th of November to arrange and agree the agenda for our 2023 AGM. This will take place at Sight Matters on Friday the 20th of January at Sight Matters starting at 1100hrs. Further details will be circulated once agreed with the Trustees. If anyone wants to be considered to become a Trustee by the members at the AGM, please write to me before January 1st, 2022, so your name can be included in the agenda papers.

Kindest regards Nigel
